UNCAPD Training Schedule

Our Term 2 programs have been structured to make it simple for families to identify the right location, day, time, and age group for their athlete.

Each venue operates on a consistent weekly schedule, with clearly defined age groups and session times. Athletes attend the same session each week for the full training block to ensure continuity, appropriate progression, and strong coach–athlete relationships.

All sessions are delivered indoors, providing a reliable training environment with no weather-related cancellations.

Term 2 Dates

 

Program Start: Week beginning 3–4 May 2026 (varies slightly by location)
Program Finish: 28 June 2026 (varies slightly by location)
Program Length: 8 weeks

No Training: King’s Birthday Weekend (Sunday 31 May)

Despite the King’s Birthday break, all locations still complete a full 8-week training and testing cycle.

How to Choose the Right Session

When selecting a training session, families should:

  • Choose the most convenient location

  • Select the correct age group based on the athlete’s age

  • Ensure the day and time work consistently for the full term

Age groups are never mixed, allowing coaching to be tailored to the physical, technical, and developmental needs of each group.

Each session runs for 60 minutes and follows a structured format aligned across all locations.

What the Schedule Supports

This clear weekly structure allows athletes to:

  • Train with peers of a similar age and development stage

  • Progress through a structured, coach-led training curriculum

  • Complete baseline testing in Week 1 and re-testing in Week 8

  • Build confidence and consistency through regular training routines

For parents, the schedule provides:

  • Predictable weekly commitments

  • Clear start and finish dates

  • Confidence that training loads, drills, and expectations are age-appropriate

Attendance & Communication

Once registration and payment are confirmed:

  • Athletes are allocated to their specific training group

  • Families receive location-specific communication, updates, and reminders

  • All performance testing and session delivery follow the published schedule

Athletes are expected to attend the same session each week to maintain training quality and group consistency.
