Athlete Safety & Wellbeing

All UNCAPD sessions are delivered by qualified coaches who prioritise safe, age-appropriate training methods aligned with long-term athlete development principles. Training programs are structured to reflect the physical and developmental stage of each athlete, with a strong emphasis on correct technique, progressive loading, and injury risk management.

We maintain appropriate athlete-to-coach ratios and ensure sessions are supervised at all times. Where required, training environments and equipment are assessed for safety prior to use. Any injuries, health concerns, or medical conditions disclosed to us are treated seriously and considered when planning and delivering training.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to communicate any relevant medical information, injuries, or concerns to our coaching staff so we can support each athlete safely and effectively.

UNCAPD respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of athletes, parents, and customers in accordance with New Zealand privacy legislation.
