Service Description

Program Overview: The Speed & Agility Program is a structured training block designed to improve sprint mechanics, acceleration efficiency, and agility performance in a supportive and professionally coached environment. At this stage of development, athletes begin refining movement patterns while developing the speed, coordination, and reactive ability required for competitive sport. The program bridges the gap between foundational movement skills and more performance-focused athletic development. Sessions are delivered by qualified performance coaches and follow a progressive structure combining technical sprint coaching, agility drills, and explosive movement training appropriate for developing athletes. Location Details: Venue: Manukau City Cricket Club Indoor Training Facility Address: 103 Jellicoe Road, Manurewa, Auckland Training Schedule: Day: Sunday Time: 10:00 AM Age Group: 11–13 years Program Dates: 3 May – Testing 10 May 17 May 24 May 7 June 14 June 21 June 28 June – Testing No session held on King’s Birthday weekend. Program Focus: • Sprint mechanics and acceleration efficiency • Agility and multi-directional movement • Developing explosive power and reactive strength • Movement coordination under speed and fatigue • Progressive training delivered in small groups to ensure quality coaching and safe progression Performance Testing: Performance testing is completed in Week 1 and Week 8 to objectively track athlete development across the term. Included tests: • 20 m Sprint (with 10 m splits) • 5-10-5 Agility Test • Standing Broad Jump • Countermovement Jump • Ground Contact Time (Reactive Strength Index) Testing allows athletes and families to clearly see measurable improvement over the 8-week program. What Athletes Need to Bring: • Appropriate fitness training attire • Water bottle • Hat Registration & Attendance: Athletes are expected to attend the same session time each week to ensure consistency and appropriate progression. Small group structure ensures individual coaching attention and safe training loads. Payment & Attendance Policy: Athletes on a payment plan will have 8 automatic weekly payments, covering the full 8-week program. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to receive a session credit if an athlete is unable to attend.
