Albany – Speed & Agility Holiday Clinic (Ages 14–18) The UNCAPD Speed & Agility Holiday Clinic (Ages 14–18) is designed for athletes looking to refine their speed and movement skills in preparation for the upcoming winter sports season. As athletes progress through adolescence, improving sprint efficiency and change-of-direction ability becomes increasingly important for sport performance. This clinic focuses on developing acceleration mechanics, sprint technique, braking control, and rapid directional movement. Across the two training sessions, athletes will work through structured drills designed to improve sprint posture, force application, agility, and reactive movement. Sessions combine technical coaching with competitive drills to help athletes apply these skills in sport-relevant situations. Athletes will also complete 20m Sprint Testing using laser timing technology, providing highly accurate measurement of sprint speed and acceleration. This technology allows athletes to gain objective insight into their performance while helping coaches guide technical improvements. This clinic is particularly valuable for athletes competing in rugby, football, netball, hockey, basketball, athletics, and other high-intensity field or court sports. All sessions are delivered by experienced youth performance coaches in a structured environment focused on technical quality and long-term athletic development.
