UNCAPD Speed & Agility Holiday Clinics
Our Speed & Agility Holiday Clinics are designed to help young athletes refine their movement skills and prepare for the demands of the upcoming winter sports season.
Across two focused training sessions, athletes will develop the key physical qualities that underpin performance in field and court sports: acceleration, sprint mechanics, agility, change of direction, and reactive movement. Each session emphasizes high-quality technique, ensuring athletes not only move faster but move more efficiently and safely.
Athletes will complete 20m Sprint Testing using laser timing technology, providing an objective measurement of acceleration and sprint speed. This technology allows highly accurate timing and gives athletes clear performance feedback, which can be used to track development and highlight key areas for improvement.
Coaching is delivered in a structured environment with clear progressions appropriate to each age group. Athletes will work through a range of drills that develop acceleration mechanics, footwork, braking ability, and rapid directional changes—skills that directly transfer to sports such as rugby, football, netball, hockey, and basketball.
These clinics are ideal for athletes who want to sharpen their movement skills before winter competition begins, build confidence in their speed and agility, and gain exposure to evidence-based athletic development coaching.
All sessions are delivered by experienced youth performance coaches and are designed to challenge athletes while maintaining a strong focus on correct movement quality.

Speed & Agility Clinic
Each clinic consists of two structured training sessions designed to progressively develop speed and agility skills. Sessions include a dynamic warm-up, sprint mechanics instruction, agility and change-of-direction drills, competitive movement games, and 20m sprint testing using laser timing technology. Training is delivered in age-appropriate groups to ensure the intensity, technical focus, and coaching cues are suitable for the stage of athletic development.
