Building Strong Movement Foundations Through Structured, Engaging Training
The Foundations Holiday Clinic is a two-day athlete development experience designed for athletes aged 8–10. This clinic focuses on developing fundamental movement skills, coordination, and confidence through a combination of structured coaching, speed and agility training, performance testing, and engaging games.
At this stage of development, building strong movement foundations is critical for both performance and injury prevention. Our coaching approach is grounded in long-term athletic development principles, ensuring sessions are age-appropriate, technically sound, and delivered in a positive, high-energy environment.
What the Clinic Includes
Fundamental Movement Development
Athletes will develop key movement patterns including running, jumping, landing, balance, and coordination. Emphasis is placed on movement quality, control, and efficient mechanics.Speed & Agility Training
Athletes will be introduced to sprint mechanics, acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction through structured drills aimed at improving movement efficiency and on-field performance.
Performance Testing
Athletes will complete baseline testing across key athletic qualities including:
Speed
Agility
Jumping ability
This provides measurable feedback on performance and helps reinforce the importance of technical execution and effort.
Games & Challenges
A variety of fun, competitive activities are integrated throughout the day to reinforce learning, encourage teamwork, and maintain engagement.
Athletic Confidence & Enjoyment
Sessions are designed to create a positive, challenging environment where athletes can enjoy being active while developing key physical skills for sport.
