Speed & Agility Clinic - St Johns
July School Holidays | UNCAPD Foundations & Development (Ages 8-12)
Service Description
St Johns – Speed & Agility Holiday Clinic (Ages 13+) The UNCAPD Speed & Agility Holiday Clinic (Ages 13+) is designed for athletes wanting to improve acceleration, sprint mechanics, agility, and overall athletic performance heading into the winter sports season. At this stage of athletic development, structured coaching becomes increasingly important for helping athletes maximise movement efficiency, improve speed mechanics, and transfer athletic qualities more effectively into sport performance. This clinic focuses on developing acceleration ability, sprint technique, change of direction mechanics, and reactive movement skills through evidence-based coaching and structured progressions. Across the two clinic sessions, athletes will complete targeted speed and agility training that includes sprint mechanics, acceleration drills, reactive movement work, agility patterns, and change of direction development. Coaches place a strong emphasis on technical precision and movement quality to ensure athletes develop efficient mechanics that can transfer directly into competitive sporting environments. Athletes will also complete 20m Sprint Testing using laser timing technology. Laser timing systems provide highly accurate performance data and are widely used within professional and high-performance sport settings. This allows athletes to receive objective feedback on their acceleration and sprint performance. Sessions are delivered in small groups with experienced youth performance coaches to ensure athletes receive high-quality instruction, technical feedback, and strong coaching support throughout the clinic. This clinic is ideal for athletes involved in rugby, football, basketball, netball, hockey, athletics, cricket, tennis, and other field or court sports where speed, acceleration, agility, and rapid changes of direction are critical performance qualities.
