Panmure - Speed, Agility & Athlete Development (Monday Ages 11-13) - Testing Results - Term 1, 2026
- 8 hours ago
- 3 min read
At the conclusion of the Term 1 program, athletes completed their Week 8 testing to compare against their Week 1 baseline.
This testing reflects development across:
Acceleration (10m sprint)
Change of direction (5–10–5)
Lower-body power (Broad Jump & CMJ)
Strength (Grip & Mid-Thigh Pull)
Muscular endurance (Push Ups & Supine Pulls)
How to interpret results:
Sprint & agility: Lower time = improvement
Strength & power: Higher value = improvement
% reflects change across the 8-week program
Athletes who did not complete post-testing have been excluded, while partial results are included where available.

5–10–5: +4.1%
Mid-Thigh Pull: +23.7%
Push Ups: +566.7%
Significant improvements in both speed and strength, particularly in force production and muscular endurance.
Vera C
Improvements in agility (+3.8%), broad jump (+6.8%), and upper-body strength
Strong gains in Push Ups (+38.5%) and Supine Pull (+60%)
Demonstrates well-rounded development across multiple physical qualities.
Group Trends & Key Takeaways
Power Development
Most athletes improved in Broad Jump and CMJ, indicating:
Increased lower-body force production
Improved jumping mechanics
Better coordination
Acceleration & Agility
Improvements in 10m sprint and 5–10–5 highlight:
Enhanced acceleration mechanics
Improved change of direction efficiency
Strength & Muscular Endurance
Significant improvements were seen in:
Push Ups and Supine Pulls (upper-body strength and endurance)
Mid-Thigh Pull (total force production)
These are critical for overall athletic development and injury resilience.
Important Context
While testing provides valuable objective data, we do not assess athlete development based on numbers alone.
Across the program, there were clear and significant improvements in movement quality, including:
Sprint mechanics and acceleration technique
Coordination and timing
Jumping and landing control
Strength execution and body awareness
These improvements are fundamental at this stage and often underpin future performance gains, even if not immediately reflected in testing data.
There are also many variables that influence testing outcomes, including:
Growth and maturation
Fatigue and external training loads
Familiarity with testing protocols
Day-to-day readiness
Final Note
This group has made strong progress across the term, particularly in developing strength, coordination, and foundational athletic qualities.
These improvements provide an excellent base for continued development in future programs.
